What is a Boundary Line Adjustment?

A boundary line adjustment is a tool for making minor changes to existing property lines or consolidating existing lots. In many cases, a property owner may negotiate the purchase of a small portion of a neighbor's lot. The boundary line adjustment confirms that the lot adjustment is consistent with City and County codes. It also officially transfers the property from the seller to the buyer.
